Hoping To See More Progression

This week was ok. We wish we could have taught more but that was the way it was. This week all of the baptisms fell through =(. Nixie didn't make it to church because of the funeral of her grandma. We will see if they will let that slide of not. So we don't know if we have a baptism on the 8th or not. Johnjohn and Mitch didn't make it to church this week. We don't know why but we will try to go them this week. Sister Joy is still coming to church. We found out this week that she doesn't want to marry so it is sad. That is the only thing that is stopping her from being baptized. We will continue to teach her and try to help her see the importance of marriage. Jay-r is still progressing but he didn't come to church again. I was hoping to see his baptism but I might not now because the soonest he can be baptized I will probably be transferred. All the other investigators are about the same. We are hoping to see more progression in them soon.

Let me share some about what I studied this week during my personal study time. This week I studied a lot about Christ's life here. I learned that we need to bold when we teach, that is all the members of the church. He didn't shy away from the trials in his life but he faced them no matter how hard they were or who presented the trial. We should stand for what is right and with the Lord we can overcome all. I also learned that all members can teach with power like Christ did if they follow the commandments and have faith in Christ. Our enemies won't be able to overcome us if we do the will of the Father.

Sorry this is short again. I would write more but I don't know what to write. This was a very slow week for us.

I love you all,

Elder Nielsen

Upcoming Baptisms

This week went alright. It was a little bit hard of course but overall it went well.

I am with Elder Nunez. He is from Manila. We were busy this week. We taught Nixie this week. She is doing very well. She didn't make it to church this week because her grandma died. We had to move her baptism to June 8. We are teaching two really good teenagers right now. Johnjohn and Mitch. We have a hard time teaching them because the parents are never home but we think they will be baptized on June 8 also. We are teaching Jay-r as well. He is really progressing. He didn't make it to church either. We are hoping for the 15 for him. We are working with a lot more investigators right now. We are going through the old records to see who else we can visit and we are trying to find some more investigators right now. We are trying to help the Lord provide weekly baptisms in Manapla. That is the vision of President Lopez. That is what we are working on.

Elder Nunez is pretty good. We work well together. He really likes to work so we do a lot of teachings.

This week was pretty relax. I don't remember anything really exciting. I have learned that work is the secret to being happy and forgetting your problems.

Love you all,

Elder Nielsen

Baptism on Saturday!

This week was ok for us. It wasn't that busy. Everyone is getting ready for school and the election here. We have a baptism on Saturday!!! Brother Negad is ready so we will hold his on Saturday. We extended a baptismal day for Nixie. We will have her baptism on June 1. It is exciting to see these baptisms coming up. Brother Tabligan is starting to progress. He knows what we teach is true and it sounds like he wants to be baptized. He didn't make it to church but he really likes the Book of Mormon. We also met with Brother Baldos this week. He told us about the beliefs of Inglesia ni Cristo and we helped explain the commandments to him. He really likes our beliefs and he wants them to be true. He is still waiting for an answer. We taught the Padernal family again. Brother really likes our teachings and he wants to follow God. We are focusing on him because if he enters the church his wife will follow him. We got a new investigator this week. His name is Joshua. He is 10 years old. We contacted his grandmother who is a member. They live far away but they have attended church for 2 weeks now. They have great faith in the gospel. We also taught Avon Taperan. She really wants to know the truth. We are helping her see that the Bible testifies of the Book of Mormon. That is her main concern. We gave her an assignment and she will do it. She really wants it to be true. We think she knows it is true because we asked her about her prayer and she started to cry. She wants it to be true. She attended church this week. We hope to give her a baptismal date this week. Brother Nono is about the same. He knows what is right and he says he wants to change. We are trying to help him. He wants to come to church but sometimes he has work on Sunday.

We have transfers on Wednesday this week. I think I will but don't know for sure. We are thinking that Elder Bermudez will probably transfer. We don't know what will happen. We are excited to see.

I love you all. Remember with God all things are possible.
